Mary Virginia Lee was born in Oklahoma in 1924. She studied
art in Washington on scholarships awarded when she was still
a girl. She lived in Santa Fe (New Mexico) where she worked
with the local artists.
In 1958 she went to Milan (Italy) to the Beato Angelico school
where she studied Fresco Painting, Enamelling, Stained
Glass, etc.

Angelo Marelli was born in Seregno, Italy in 1921. Studied
architecture at the University of Milano. He worked and
taught at the Polyartistic School Beato Angelico and at the
Jesuit School Leone XIII
Angelo left the Seminary studies and in 1959 married Mary Virginia.
She was the youngest artist to have a solo show in Denver, he was
the youngest teacher at the Beato Angelico. When they married their
lives were electrified and they drowned in art.
